“As a ceramic artist and teacher, I create both sculptural and functional pieces that encourage connection, conversation, and community. My art provides thought-provoking perspective on the realities we find in nature and in life: love, loss, growth, and — hopefully — renewal.

Duality, the ordered symmetry and asymmetry of the world around us, inspires my tea sets, pitchers, altars, portals, and other art. After more than 30 years of creating ceramic sculptures, drawings, and paintings, I remain inspired
and motivated by the ability of a meaningful, well-crafted piece of art
to engage, provoke, and heal.
